San Francisco, CA – Have a wall nearby? How about a table? Maybe just a blank white markerboard? Now you can turn any and all of those surfaces into an interactive and dynamic touch screen using the new pocket-sized projector called TouchJet, a recent successful IndieGogo product which is now available.
This new technology has the ability to bring back the “cool factor” into presentations. By running a full version of Android, the projector also includes an infrared sensor and touch pen that uniquely makes the projection display interactive.
The on-the-go portability of the projector can provide a great solution for informal sales presentations that may occur outside of a traditional board room setting, but still give you a high level of engagement with your viewers. It expands the tablet experience by enlarging the presentation for a bigger audience.
New Technology, New Experiences
The big question is how can we effectively utilize this device? While new technology always has some limitations, this one is really just a new delivery mechanism to apply existing content. With this new medium, we can make what used to be static PowerPoints into interactive presentations that make meetings come to life. We can take what used to be a sales aid on a tablet and enlarge the experience, bringing it to any wall or flat surface in the room, for a new level of immersive conversations.
Users could also use it as an interactive table to draw, explain, and share their ideas. The gesture and multi-touch capabilities bring all of the power of the Android operating system to any surface in a room, making the conversation more immersive than passing around a tablet or smartphone device.
The Touchjet provides a unique product to help us rethink our presentations and involve a higher level of engagement. The merging of digital and physical spaces can provide a unique experience to deliver our content. Now it’s up to us to find out how to best integrate it with our messages.
