The Digital & Social Strategy team is back at Digital Pharma East for Day 2. After a large cup of coffee and a bunch of yummy doughnuts, the team was ready for a full day of digital insights. Some of the discussions we attended focused on reaching patients through social media, the effect of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on our campaigns, and how digital Healthcare is experience a cultural revolution.

Here are some of the insights we uncovered throughout Day 2:

  • “Millennials have a very high BS meter. So it’s imperative that you be authentic with them.”
  • “Pharma can be authentic by providing resources that are valuable for the community.”
  • “74% of physicians are at least interested in in-office tech featuring education and ads.”
  • “We’re going to have to be fluent in 4 languages: Healthcare, Technology, Media, and Data.”
  • “Analytics informs the right time to share your message to your target audience. You need to find where in the journey the customer is, and where along it they will be most receptive to your content.”

But we didn’t just sit back and listen today. We also presented our keynote address titled Engagement Equation: Increasing Pharma’s Probability of Success with Digital Advertising. Matthew Snodgrass and Michael Pearlman shared new research on how to get qualified patients into clinical trials.
